This is one of a couple dozen antique prints/photos that I recently picked up at an estate sale. I've never purchased or offered art before because I have zero knowledge of that field, but during this two day sale, whatever was left at the end was going to the dump. These pictures just looked too old and too beautiful to let that happen.

This listing is for the one print that you see in my photo. I will be offering all the others as time permits.

This is one of a series of 26 hexagonal panels that decorated the first level of the Cathedral bell tower in Florence, now substituted by copies while the originals are in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo. The sculptural decoration of the bell tower includes a second level with diamond-shaped panels and a third with statues in niches.

I could not narrow down an exact age for this photo. Quite a few of the other ones that I'll be listing had more information available and showed dates of between 1887 to 1920. The photo in this listing appears to be from the same time frame as the others.

This photo measures just over 7.5 by 10 inches. It was mounted on thick pressed cardboard. (This all looks to be original and mounted at the same time the picture was made). Including the cardboard the actual size comes out to just under 10 by 12 inches.

Along the bottom of the photo it reads "(Ed.* Alinari) P.* I.* N.* 2014. FIRENZE - Campanile del Duomo. L" arte del lavoro agoarid (Giotto e Andrea Pisano.)"

UPDATE: SOMEONE SUGGESTED TO ME THAT THIS MAY BE A PAGE FROM A VERY OLD MAGAZINE, CUT OUT AND APPLIED TO MATTING. IF SO, WHOEVER MADE IT DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL LOOKING JOB.

CONDITION:
For being well over 100 years old, it's in excellent condition. You should be able to see in my photo that there are whitish spots, mainly along the border of the panel. That is not wear on the photo, that is actual wear on the building. When lying flat on a table, there is a very slight curve in the cardboard. I'm sure that can be pressed out if it concerns you. There are no rips tears or gouges.

Let me add that as stated above, I know nothing about art. I have tried to the best of my ability to describe what I see and what I've read about the print. If you have further questions, or if you have any info you'd like to offer, just shoot me a 'question for seller" note and I'll try my best to provide a competent answer.

Buyer to pay USPS First Class Mail Parcel delivery charges of $5.40. Delivery is from Nevada.

SHIPPING CHARGE INFO:
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.

Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.

International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
