From the Forword:
"To those of us who know something of the rich history of Shasta County, it is gratifying to see this excellent story about the Indians of the early days.
Helen Steadman Hogue has captured here in this little volume a series of interesting facts about the Indians and their habits and customs as they lived here in this, their beautiful outdoors."
The book is dated 1977. It is softcover measuring about 9 by 6 inches and has 96 pages. It has black and white pictures throughout and it is indexed.
It's in great condition and I see no writing or torn pages inside. The upper left corner has an extremely small bump.
