This vintage Jenaer thermometer comes in its original hard cardboard protective tube. It's estimated to be from the 1940s, so almost antique classification. I researched it for quite a while to try to determine if it is an oral or an anal thermometer, but could not find anything that gave a definite answer.
It is a mercury based thermometer made of glass. It measures 4.75 inches long and the protective tube is 5.25 inches long. The thermometer ranges from 36 to 42 celsius. The back is marked "Max: Minute 1/10 c. Jenaer Normalglas. 257".
I purchased it at an estate sale where it was included in a small box of momentos from a nurse who attended the Indiana School of Nursing in the early 1940s.

I gladly combine shipping on multiple items purchased. It is best if possible to contact me first to let me know which items you'll be purchasing so that I can adjust the shipping charges, otherwise at checkout you will be charged the full shipping fee for each item. Should that happen, and if appropriate to do so, I refund a portion of those charges.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING depends on the country. Buyer must contact seller for shipping quote before making purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
