This pin was part of a large lot of over 700 military DUI DI insignia pins purchased at an estate sale. The seller was an avid collector of military items and he specialized in the WWII and Vietnam era. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact date for this pin, but the insignia was approved on August 31, 1966.
The pin is silver and orange in color. It measures 1-1/4 inches tall. The design is of a barbed arrowhead with marbled orange enamel flames on each side starting at the base with a black enamel lightning bolt running up the center.
The bolt of lightning represents communications. The barbed arrowhead refers to the tactical and strategic support mission of the organization. The flames allude to fire being the oldest source of signal communication at a distance.
It is marked on the back "G23 Made in USA". It has a double clutch holder on back.

Although small, when wrapped it will exceed the postal limit of one quarter of an inch for normal envelope mailing. Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Package. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $3.99.
I gladly combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can safely fit in to a single package. It is best if possible to contact me first to let me know which items you'll be purchasing so that I can adjust the shipping charges, otherwise at checkout you will be charged the full shipping fee for each item.
