This pin was part of a large lot of over 700 military DUI DI insignia pins purchased at an estate sale. The seller was an avid collector of military items and he specialized in the WWII and Vietnam era. I don't know the exact date of this pin, but the previous owner wrote "Nam" on the card it is attached to. I'm pretty sure that means it Vietnam era.
The United States Army Special Forces are also known as the Green Berets. They preform six primary missions: unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance, direct action, hostage rescue, and counter-terrorism.
The pin measures 1-1/8th inch top to bottom by 1 inch side to side. It is silver with blue enamel. Along the bottom it says "De Oppresso Liber". The American translation is "To Free From Oppression", the Latin translation is "To Liberate the Oppressed".
It is marked on the back "D-22. The back also has double clutch holders.
NOTE - My photo of this pin is a very close-up view. The spotting that you see (mainly around the arrows on the right side) is present, but is nothing like the close-up makes it appear. You will receive the actual pin that you see in my photo.
Although small, when wrapped it will exceed the postal limit of one quarter of an inch for normal envelope mailing. Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Package. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $3.95.
I gladly combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can safely fit in to a single package. It is best if possible to contact me first to let me know which items you'll be purchasing so that I can adjust the shipping charges, otherwise at checkout you will be charged the full shipping fee for each item. Should that happen, and if appropriate to do so, I refund a portion of those charges.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
