This pair of opera glasses are from the 1960s. It is a one piece unit that folds neatly into the red leather casing. The case is surrounded by chrome. By the way, when closing, just lightly push on the lens area and the glasses fold down into a flat position.
Although known as "opera glasses", there are numerous uses for these such as bird watching, sports events, concerts, and more. Depending on the activity used for, the distance needed will vary so just use the focus wheel on top to bring objects into a clear view.
I do not know who the maker is. There is a groove between the two lenses that appears to have had a sticker or small tab at one time, but it's gone now. That's probably where the maker's name was. I obtained these at an estate sale, so there was no one to ask.
