This antique doorknob plate was salvaged from an old Victorian home in Oakland California that was to be demolished. It measures 7 by 2.25 inches The plate has openings for the knob, a skeleton key, and 4 screws (knob, key, and screws not included). I believe it is brass. The hole that the knob goes through protrudes about 1/4 inch.

Unknown age, but the guy I spoke to during the salvage said the house was built in the late 1800s. I do not know if this back plate was original to the date the house was built or not.

I have not cleaned it. I'll leave the rustic look on it and the new owner can clean it if they choose to do so.

When I obtained this plate, I also got a few others of various sizes. Check my other listings if interested. This listing is for just the one plate you see in my photo.

Buyer to pay $4.10 USPS First Class Mail Package shipping charges. Shipping is from Arizona.

I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items will safely fit into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.

Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. We've already received the notice of the upcoming price increase and it's pretty ugly. We've been warned to expect a price increase of .75 cents upward to $2.00 for each package mailed beginning in January. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.

International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
