I'm guessing that this photo of the Commercial Hotel in downtown Phoenix Arizona was originally taken around the late 1800s. I'm sure the photo that I am offering is not that old, but I'd be comfortable saying it's a re-take dating to around the 1950s. I'm guessing the 1950s because I recently purchased a couple of boxes of old Arizona Highways Magazines that had several old maps, brochures, photos, etc included and everything is dated in the 1940s and 1950s, so it would make sense that this photo is dated around that time frame also.
The photo measures 8 and 1/8th inches top to bottom by 10 inches side to side. It is black and white. Toward the bottom it says "No.19 Commercial Hotel Phoenix AZ Hand-colored".
The Commercial Hotel was built in the late 1880s and was demolished in 1981. It stood at the northwest corner of Central and Jefferson in downtown Phoenix.
The photo is in great condition but there is a small tear just below mid section on the right hand side. The tear is about 3/8ths inch long and would probably be covered by a frame.
Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail from California. The photo will be backed with cardboard to hopefully prevent the postman from bending it. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $3.95.
SHIPPING CHARGE INFO:
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
