I obtained this adorable Bozo the Clown table top night light at an estate sale. I was told it's from the 1950s to 1960s time frame. Looking at the electrical cord, I'd say that would be an accurate era.
Bozo is in working condition. There is a small light bulb under the area of his belly. This bulb is the small type you'd find on Christmas lights. The black base measures 4 inches square and bozo stands 9.5 inches tall (including the base). The coloring is vibrant and I see no missing paint. I believe the material that he's made of is a rubber of some type, but am not positive of that.
I wouldn't call him dirty, and I'd use him just as he is, but you may want to wipe him down. I did not attempt to clean him because I didn't know if any paint would thin. Also, you'll notice that on the tip of his nose and on his tongue there is a white dot. I thought those were drops of paint, but in every picture I've seen online, those dots are present, so that's part of the original paint job. (ALL the other pictures I saw were of ones that sold almost immediately after being posted, so I guess these are rare, hard to find, and in demand).
The bottom of the base has the original sticker stating the lamp to be copyrighted Larry Harmon Pictures Corp and has various other information.
Shipping is based on a package weighing over one pound. (See weight charge explanation below). Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail from Arizona. Buyer to pay $9.95 delivery fees. Package will come fully insured and with signature required for delivery, meaning someone must sign for the package when it's delivered.
EXPLANATION OF SHIPPING CHARGES:
Google will not include items in their search pages unless a shipping charge is stated or unless calculated shipping is offered. It's easy to quote a standard shipping price on items weighing less than a pound (1 to 15 ounces) because the per ounce costs are the same regardless of ship-to location from coast to coast. When the weight gets to a pound or more, shipping charges are based on zip code. On items over 1 pound, I quote a charge from Arizona to the east coast of $9.95, which quite often doesn't cover the entire cost but I pick up the difference. The closer to Arizona that the item is shipping to, the lesser the charge will be and I will refund an appropriate amount to cover the overpayment. If that is uncomfortable for you, feel free to send me your zip code and I can quote you an accurate shipping cost.
COMBINED SHIPPING INFORMATION
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box. However, my web host does not have the ability to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
