82nd U.S. Army Signal Battalion DUI insignia pin. When I obtained it, it was attached to a small homemade cardboard square. Written on the cardboard it says "82nd Sig Bat" and "Nam". That would have been written by a past owner. I'm assuming the 'NAM" stands for Vietnam. The pin is well used and has some slight pitting and scratches, so I don't doubt that it is from the Vietnam time frame.
The pin measures about 1-1/4 inch. On the front at the bottom is the motto "The Commander's Voice". The back is marked "D22" but has no maker's name. The back has a double clutch holder.

I obtained a large lot of pins recently at an estate sale of a man who was a very serious pin collector. I was told he served in Vietnam so that was the time frame he specialized in but that he also collected pins from as early as WWI, WWII, and Korean War time frames.
This gentleman is moving into an assisted living facility, so his estate is being liquidated. The large lot of pins that I purchased consisted of 723 pins that he collected. I will list them several at a time in between my normal estate sale finds. If there is a particular unit's pin that you are searching for, just let me know because there's a good chance I'll have it.
