This is one of a couple dozen antique prints/photos that I recently picked up at an estate sale. I've never purchased or offered art before because I have zero knowledge of that field, but during this two-day estate sale, whatever was left at the end was going to the dump. These pictures just looked too old and too beautiful to let that happen.
This listing is for the one print that you see in my photo. I will be offering all the others as time permits.
First, let me say that I hope my title is correct. Along the bottom of these prints are statements written in Italian. I went to a google translation page and put in what it says and it came back that the scene has to do with “the art of building”.
The printing along the bottom is fairly faint, but I believe it says “P*1.* N Firenze Campanile Del Duomo. L‘Arte del Costruire (Giotto /E Anore A Pasaso)
I'm not sure what type of image this is because it's permanently attached to the cardboard backing. For fear of damaging it, I choose not to try to loosen an area to feel the thickness to determine the type.
UPDATE: SOMEONE SUGGESTED TO ME THAT THIS MAY BE A PAGE FROM A VERY OLD MAGAZINE, CUT OUT AND APPLIED TO MATTING. IF SO, WHOEVER MADE IT DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL LOOKING JOB

Giotto's Campanile is a free-standing campanile that is part of the complex of buildings that make up Florence Cathedral on the Piazza del Duomo in Florence, Italy. Standing adjacent to the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistry of St. John, the tower is one of the showpieces of Florentine Gothic architecture with its design by Giotto, its rich sculptural decorations and its polychrome marble encrustations. The slender structure is square in plan with 14.45 metre (47.41 ft) sides. It is 84.7 metres (277.9 ft) tall and has polygonal buttresses at each corner. The tower is divided into five stages. The panels depict the beginnings of "mechanical arts" and "creative arts" (according to the Bible).
This photo measures just over 7.5 by 10 inches. It was mounted on a thick pressed matting. (This all looks to be original and mounted at the same time the picture was made). Including the matt the actual size comes out to just under 10 by 12 inches.
CONDITION:
For being in the area of 100 years old, I think it's in excellent condition. When lying flat on a table, there is a slight curve to the matt. I would think that could be pressed out if it concerns you.
Let me add that as stated above, I know nothing about art. I have tried to the best of my ability to describe what I see and what I've read about these pictures.
