Bernat's knitting and crocheting books and magazines were very popular back in the early to mid century. Each had numerous patterns and with each pattern there would be directions, many with diagrams, and there would be a list of materials needed, including what type of needles, ribbons, hooks, fasteners, and anything else you'd need to complete the project.
This listing is for the Bernat's Handicrafter project book and is dated 1947. It is volume 16, or XVI. It has 49 pages and according to the table of contents, there are 46 projects that can be made.
The condition is great! If I just saw it laying around, I'd have no idea it was 68 years old. There is a previous owner's name inside the front cover.
