I purchased this little tool at an estate recently and was told by the seller that her grandfather used it to scrape and pick horses's hoofs. She estimated it to possibly be from the 1930s. Now, I've never seen one of these before, so I'm trusting the information that she gave me.
There is no maker's info or other identifying marks. It measures 5.5 inches long. The round portion has a one inch opening. It has some rust and has built up a nice patina. I'll leave that for the next owner.
By the way, if anyone knows that this tool is not for the use stated, I'd appreciate knowing the correct usage.

All items in my listings come from either garage or estate sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
