This lovely pair of gold plated scissors is marked on one side with "Germany" and the other side has what looks like a King in a sitting position and under him it says "SMF Solingen". Each handle has what looks like a flower just under the finger holes on both sides. The handles are gold plated and the blades are nickel plated. It comes in an embossed gold plated sheath.
The measurements are 4.75 inches when out of sheath, 5.25 inches when in the sheath.
CONDITION:
I would consider these to be in excellent condition. I do not know how much usage they've had in the past because I obtained them at an estate sale. I did see a very small spot of rust on the inside in the area of the screw that connects the blades. (This would be the hidden area). I tested them with a several different types of thread and they made quick smooth cuts.
