I recently purchased a collection of several hundred pieces of high quality costume jewelry at an estate sale. This necklace was a part of that collection. At the sale, I spoke with the seller who said the jewelry belonged to her mother and that her mother only shopped at locations such as Macys, Nordstroms, QVC, etc. I inquired about the vastness of the collection and was told that the mother never wore most of the pieces and had purchased them as investments.
This necklace is from HONORA. Unclasped, it measures 36 inches long including the clasp. The clasp is marked 925. It is made of freshwater pearls in the colors of Black Cherry, Silver, and Black (although the black looks dark charcoal).
It has never been worn and still has its Honora tag attached. It will come to you in its original satin pouch and gift box, just like the day it was first purchased.
I did find this necklace online currently selling at Macy's for $91.00 plus $16.98 shipping, so roughly $108.00.
Information from Honora:
"Incredible style is apparent in this Honora strand. The colors are Black Cherry, Silver, and Black in this long, luxurious, versatile necklace of ringed, barrel shaped cultured freshwater pearls. This necklace defines your style with always appropriate sophistication.
One necklace many ways to wear it. This ultimate accessory can be worn long and loose, perfect over a basic tee or tunic, or going with the flow of a draped open cardigan. You can also double it for a layered look. It defines your neckline and frames your face beautifully. Find a way to adorn any outfit, from a T-shirt and jeans to the dressiest of ensembles.
Refreshingly different. The ringed barrel design caused by the pearls rotation while growing inside the mollusk, lends irresistible texture. The carved circles range from a single ridge to multiple rings on each cultured freshwater pearl. This inherent variation makes every strand individual, beautiful, and uniquely your own".
Delivery will be from Nevada via USPS 1st Class Mail. Postal Insurance will be mandatory. Since the insurance is for the protection of both of us, I split the cost with the buyer. The delivery charge will be $5.95.
SPECIAL NOTE about partial REFUND of shipping charges:
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based solely on weight and a package cost the same amount regardless of where it was being shipped to in the United States. This year they went a bit overboard. Now, with this year's increase, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. Now it is not possible to state a shipping cost and have it be valid regardless if the package is traveling 2 miles or all the way to the east coast. This latest increase has added an additional .46 cents to up to $1.43 on packages. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
To complicate things even further, Google will not show items for sale unless they have a designated cost, or unless the seller uses calculated shipping. My web host is not equipped to figure calculated shipping, so I have to quote a shipping charge using the east coast as the final destination and then refund over payments. When I return the overage, I usually do so by including cash inside the package when it's shipped. My feedback page will show verification that I do return overpayments.
COMBINED SHIPPING INFORMATION
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap and on top of that, this year Paypal started charging a currency conversion fee of 4.4%. International shipping now depends on the destination country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
