These two photos were obtained at an estate sale recently. They were both in frames, but both frames had broken glass and the wood was cracked, so I threw out the frames and glass pieces. Buyer will receive the photos only. When found, they were in padded envelopes with writing that said "Edwards Air Force Base?" and the dates of 1970s-1980s. I'm guessing that since there was a question mark added, that the original owner wasn't sure if these were taken at Edwards or not.
The photos are both about 8 by 10 inches and are color photos. The photos show the front of a military transport airplane with the nose up. The Budweiser Wagon, being pulled by Clydesdales have just exited the airplane. Sitting on the seat of the wagon are two men and a Dalmatian dog. I can't tell if the wagon is full of cases of Budweiser or not.
The scene in both photos is almost the same, the difference is that in one, the wagon has moved just a bit.
I think both photos are fine for framing and displaying, but there are a couple of flaws. Looking at my picture of the two photos side by side, the photo on the left has a white vertical line in the sky area above the first set of horses. The photo on the right has a small white flaw also in the sky area above the second set of horses. Also, viewing my pictures, there appears to be a light brownish coloring in several spots but looking at the photos in person, I can only see a very faint discoloration. I don't know why it stands out more in my photos than it does in person.
Framed, these would be perfect for someone who collects military items, or for fans of Budweiser beer.
These will be mailed by USPS First Class mail from Northern California. Cardboard protection will be used and the envelope will be labeled "Do Not Bend". Buyer to pay $3.99 delivery charges.
SHIPPING COST INFO:
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items will safely fit into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
