There is a bonus newspaper included in this listing at no charge. Read below for the particulars.

This is the evening edition of the Indianapolis News newspaper dated Monday evening, May 7th 1945. It is the last edition for that day. It announces that the hostilities in Europe have ended.

This is a complete original newspaper. It is not a copy or a reproduction. There are two sections. Both sections have 8 pages for a total of 16 pages.

In my opinion, the paper is in great condition. The way that it has been folded and stored for many years was a little uneven. Both sections were folded over 3 times. There are a few small tears from pages that hung over slightly, but the tears are small at about 1/4 inch.

BONUS:
I purchased quite a few old historical newspapers recently at an estate sale (check my other listings to see them), and after matching up the sections and the dates, there was one section left over. It was the second section of the Indianapolis Star dated May 7, 1945. I just can't bring myself to throw away something so significant as this, so since it's from the same date as the Indianapolis News that I am offering in this listing, I'll send it along at no charge to the buyer.

Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Parcel. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $6.49.

SHIPPING CHARGE INFO:
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.

Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.

International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
