I obtained this adorable Bozo the Clown table top night light at an estate sale. I was told it's from the 1950s to 1960s time frame. Looking at the electrical cord, I'd say that would be an accurate era.
Bozo is in working condition. There is a small light bulb under the area of his belly. This bulb is the small type you'd find on Christmas lights. The black base measures 4 inches square and bozo stands 9.5 inches tall (including the base). The coloring is vibrant and I see no missing paint. I believe the material that he's made of is a rubber of some type, but am not positive of that.
I wouldn't call him dirty, and I'd use him just as he is, but you may want to wipe him down. I did not attempt to clean him because I didn't know if any paint would thin. Also, you'll notice that on the tip of his nose and on his tongue there is a white dot. I thought those were drops of paint, but in every picture I've seen online, those dots are present, so that's part of the original paint job. (ALL the other pictures I saw were of ones that sold almost immediately after being posted, so I guess these are rare, hard to find, and in demand).
The bottom of the base has the original sticker stating the lamp to be copyrighted Larry Harmon Pictures Corp and has various other information.
Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail from Nevada. Buyer to pay $8.95 delivery fees. Package will come fully insured and with signature required for delivery, meaning someone must sign for the package when it's delivered.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT POSSIBLE PARTIAL REFUND OF SHIPPING CHARGES:
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based solely on weight and zip code. This year the postal service went a bit overboard. Now, with this year's increase, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. This latest increase has added an additional .96 cents to up to $2.83 on packages, depending on their destination. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in several years, but that's getting harder with each increase.
To complicate things even further, Google will not promote or show items for sale unless they have a designated cost, or unless the seller uses calculated shipping. My web host is not equipped to figure calculated shipping, so I have to quote a shipping charge using the east coast as the final destination and then refund over payments. When I return the overage, I usually do so by including cash inside the package when it's shipped. My feedback page will show verification that I do return overpayments.
COMBINED SHIPPING INFORMATION
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box. However, my web host does not have the ability to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with any of that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
