Offered in this listing are 11 old wood coat hangers. Ten of them are from the Los Angeles California area, and one is from Denver Colorado.
I am selling these for a friend who has personal genealogical knowledge of the time frame of 1930s to 1950s. Her family came to Los Angeles in the mid to late 1930s and are still in the area today. Her grandfather and his brothers were all in the cleaning business and owned several shops.
Besides her knowledge, you'll notice that on the hangers that have a phone number listed, the phone numbers have 3 and 4 digits.

CONDITION:
I believe the hangers are in wonderful condition. There will be varying degrees of fading in the print, which should be expected of printing that is 70 to 80 years old, but its not bad and they are all still very readable. The metal hooks may also have patina.
Also of note, I suspect that the hangers from the Hilton and Sheraton Hotels may be from the 1960s, but that's just my thoughts.
EXPLANATION OF SHIPPING CHARGES:
Unfortunately, the hangers are too long to fit in to any of the postal Flat Rate boxes.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT POSSIBLE PARTIAL REFUND OF SHIPPING CHARGES:
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based solely on weight and zip code. This year the postal service went a bit overboard. Now, with this year's increase, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. This latest increase has added an additional .96 cents to up to $2.83 on packages, depending on their destination. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in several years, but that's getting harder with each increase.
To complicate things even further, Google will not promote or show items for sale unless they have a designated cost, or unless the seller uses calculated shipping. My web host is not equipped to figure calculated shipping, so I have to quote a shipping charge using the east coast as the final destination and then refund over payments. When I return the overage, I usually do so by including cash inside the package when it's shipped. My feedback page will show verification that I do return overpayments.
COMBINED SHIPPING INFORMATION
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box. However, my web host does not have the ability to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with any of that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES
Due to claims that merchandise is not being received at various international countries (although Customs tracking verifies the delivery), I will no longer be able to process international orders unless payment is made with U.S. currency, including conversion fees. Orders will be processed after funds have cleared a U.S. bank. PAYPAL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
