This pin was part of a large lot of over 700 military DUI DI insignia pins purchased at an estate sale. The seller was an avid collector of military items and he specialized in the WWII and Vietnam era.
Researching this unit insignia, Wikipedia lists the last two engagements as being in WWII and Vietnam. The pin is in such wonderful condition, that I would guess Vietnam would be the time frame, but can't promise.
The front of the pin is enameled and features a hawk rising with wings elevated against a background of a yellow eight point star. It has a black border and within the top area of the border it reads "Animo Et Fide" which translates to "Courageous and Faithful". It measures just over 1.25 inches across. The back is brass (I believe) and is stamped "V-21 Made in USA". The back has a double clutch holder.

Although small, when wrapped it will exceed the postal limit of one quarter of an inch for normal envelope mailing. Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Package. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $3.95.
I gladly combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can safely fit in to a single package. It is best if possible to contact me first to let me know which items you'll be purchasing so that I can adjust the shipping charges, otherwise at checkout you will be charged the full shipping fee for each item. Should that happen, and if appropriate to do so, I refund a portion of those charges.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
