This U.S. Marine Corps Airborne Paratrooper insignia pin was part of a large lot of over 700 military DUI DI insignia pins purchased at an estate sale. The estate belonged to an avid collector of military items who specialized in the WWII and Vietnam era. When I obtained the pin it was attached to a card. Written along the bottom of the card it reads "USMC Airborne Paratrooper Vietnam". That should put it in the age range of mid 1960s to mid 1970s.
The pin measures 1 and 1/8th inches high by 1 inch across at the widest points. It features a parachute, wings, a helmet, and a boot. It is enamel. There are no markings on the back. The back has a single clutch holder.
You will receive the actual pin that you see in my photo. It is in very good condition.
Although small, when wrapped it will exceed the postal limit of one quarter of an inch for normal envelope mailing. Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Package. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $4.99.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable.
