185th U.S. Army Infantry DUI insignia pin. It has the motto “Nunquam Non Paratus” (Never Unprepared).. The pin measures just about 1 inch. It has the roll over C clasp closure.
The pin is in great condition. Although not marked, several things lead me to believe it is from the WWII era. First, the previous collector wrote on the card “WWII Pinback”, then there’s the C clasp which was used on the older insignia pins, and lastly there are several comments online that this pin is WWII timeframe.
The pin was part of a large collection of insignia pins that I purchased at an estate sale. They are attached to a small thin cardboard square. The writing on the cardboard was put there by the previous owner and that's great because I can't imagine how long it would take me to look up and obtain information on over 700 pins.
NOTE: In my photo, the black area to the right of the pin is a shadow and is not part of the pin.
Buyer to pay USPS First Class Mail parcel delivery charges of $5.50. Shipping is from Arizona.
A personal note about shipping costs….
The shipping charges are set by the U.S. Postal Service.
Here’s the reason for the high charges….. Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become more profitable.
On top of the three increases, the postal service has now divided the nation in to 8 postal zones. Each time a package crosses into another zone, the price increases. I am in Arizona, so most all of my shipments pass through multiple zones.
It's a 10 year plan that the postal service started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases of shipping charges each year. I fear seeing what the costs will be at the end of the plan.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box or envelope. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES: Sorry, I do not ship to locations outside of the United States.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
