27th U.S. Army Engineers DUI insignia pin. The pin measures roughly one inch in both directions. It has the motto of "Omnes Res Bene Facere". It is marked on the back "D22 Made in U.S.A.". According to the Office of Heraldry that mark is from the time frame of 1974 to the present, which would put it around the end of the Vietnam War to present time.
The pin has double clutch holders on the back. All enamel and metal pieces are present with no chips or cracks.
Sorry about the reflection of the camera in my photo.
The pin is part of a large collection of insignia pins that I purchased at an estate sale. It is attached to a small thin cardboard square. The writing on the cardboard was put there by the previous owner and that's great because I can't imagine how long it would take me to look up and obtain information on over 700 pins. The previous owner wrote "27th Eng Bat" on the cardboard holder. I'm using his information. He was the expert, so hopefully the information is correct.
