These baby shoes were obtained at an estate sale. I was told by the seller that the shoes would have been from the Los Angeles area. She said the shoes would have been either her mother’s, or her uncle’s baby shoes. She said her mother was born in 1927 and the uncle was born in 1925, so going by those dates these shoes should be from the 1920s.
There are complete with laces, but I do not know if the laces are the originals. The shoes measure 5.5 inches toe to heel, 2.25 inches across, and 2.25 inches tall at the back.
The finish is leather and you can tell from my picture that the shoes were worn quite a bit. However, there are no tears in the material and no cracks in the sole on the bottom.
With a little white shoe polish, these could be used as baby shower table decorations, décor in a nursery, or in a shadow box, or many other purposes.
