Please bare with me while I try to describe this item. I’ve been holding on to it for about 10 years now because I could find nothing online that remotely resembled it. I’ve always believed it to be a woodwind instrument reed. Today I found some close hits.
I found a couple of pictures of vintage oboes, and my item looks very close to the reed used decades ago. I also found something called a Zurna reed that looks close. I’m not saying mine is either, just that they look similar.
The piece I’m offering is brass and measures about 3.25 inches long. The mouthpiece is removable and has two sides. The two sides are stuck together and I have not tried to part them. I haven’t a clue as to the age, but by appearance, I’d say it is very old.

SPECIAL NOTE about SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly and again in November for the holiday season (so 3 times each year) the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based on weight and zip code. Now, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. I’m in the West, so most packages travel eastward, which now means increased postage. This year's increases have added an additional 1.36 cents to up to $4.03 on packages. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year, unfortunately, I have to increase the shipping. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the changes when possible.
