This bolo tie is shaped like the state of Arizona. It features a cactus, the mountains, and the Knights of Columbus logo symbol. The symbol says “K of C”. The centerpiece is metal and I believe it is brass. It measures about 2 by 2.5 inches.
The cord is black in color. Laid out, from end to end the cord measures just under 35 inches long. The cord has metal end caps that are silver in color. The cord is tight on the metal slide which is proof this bolo was not worn much, if at all. It is in excellent vintage condition.
I purchased it at an estate sale along with about a dozen other bolos that I will be listing. I was able to speak with the seller and she said the bolo’s were her father’s. She said she knows that this one is from the mid 1970s. She said her family moved to Arizona in 1974 and her father joined the Knights of Columbus almost immediately. He got this at that time.
