This trinket box is designed as a Bali Starling bird. The Bali Starling is an endangered species bird found at the Bali Barat National Park in Bali Indonesia.

The Bali Starling is a medium-sized, stocky myna, almost wholly white with a long, drooping crest, and black tips on the wings and tail. The bird has blue bare skin around the eyes, greyish legs and a yellow bill.
This beautifully detailed trinket box was release number 159 from Objet d’ Art, ArtForm Fine Collectibles. It measures approx. 3 inches tall by 2.5 inches side to side. It is pewter and was made 100% by hand, then had jeweled Austrian Crystals added to the tail feathers, for the eyes, and on the flower. Lastly, it was enameled with the finest European lacquers.
Inside is a small compartment for storage. Embedded magnets keep the box securely closed. It is hinged. The bottom portion, or the ‘bowl’, is enameled also and can be used for earrings, or a ring, or any small piece of jewelry or collectibles.
It is signed on the bottom with ‘Work of Art’.
It is in new condition and has never been used. It will come in its original box with a Certificate of Authenticity. The label on the box is dated 2009
This trinket box was one of a collection of about 80 boxes that I purchased at an estate sale. There were all types of animals, old cars, plants, aircraft etc. I will be listing them all as time allows so be sure to check my other items.
