Boyds Bears are adorable resin figurines, each with it’s own personality and cuteness. The bears were produced from the
early 1980s until they went into permanent hibernation in 2014. Since they are no longer being made, they gain value year after year.
This figurine carries the limited edition the number 7E/1642.
This figurine is titled ‘Jill… Language of Love’ and is style #2842. It is dated 1994, and was retired in 1997. The story, printed on the bottom, says “The little western flower upon which the bolt of cupid fell”. That statement is attributed to ‘A Midsummers Night’s Dream’. There is other info printed on the bottom also.
The figurine depicts a bear reading a book. It measures 2.25 inches side to side, 2.25 inches front to back, 7 inches tall.
It is in excellent condition. I see no chips, cracks, or other problems. However, there is no original box.
I recently purchased a large collection of about 100 Boyds Bears from an estate sale. I will be listing them all as time allows. If you are a collector and are looking for a particular bear, feel free to ask if I have it. Just send me the style number and I’ll check for availability.

SPECIAL NOTE about SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly and again in November for the holiday season (so 3 times each year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their “Delivering for America” plan in which they hope to become profitable. It’s a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we’ve got years to go with multiple price increases each year. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year, unfortunately, I have to increase the shipping. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the changes when possible.
