This postcard shows the front view of Caesars Palace with the fountains and the headless winged lady statue. The card is not dated, but Caesars opened in 1966. I found the card on a postcard collector's site and they state it's from 1968.
The card is postally unused.
The description on the back states:
Caesars Palace
3570 Las Vegas Blvd, South
Las Vegas, Nevada 89109
Other markings on the back are:
Desert Supply Co. Las Vegas Nevada
Curteichcolor 3-D Natural Color Reproduction (Reg. U.S.A. Pat. Off.)
The card measures roughly 3.5 by 5.5 inches. It's very bright in color. The card has straight even edges. The card has a divided back, meaning one side for the address and one side for writing a message.
I recently purchased a few dozen older postcards at an estate sale. The subjects of the cards are in and around The Las Vegas area. They are of 'old Vegas" and many are of the old casinos and hotels that have long ago been demolished. I do combine shipping on multiple purchases (see shipping notes below), so be sure to check out my other items.
CONDITION:
I am not a postcard collector and don't know how to 'rate" postcards. Personally, I think the card is in great condition for being at least 50 years old. I can see that there are tiny bumps to the corners, but they are so small that I can't get a measurement. Also, the back has slight age coloring.
SHIPPING:
Buyer to pay $3.50 First Class Mail delivery charges. That cost will cover shipping on the purchase of 4 postcards.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items will safely fit into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year unfortunately, I have to if I want to stay in business. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the increases when possible.
INTERNATIONAL PURCHASED: Sorry, I do not ship to locations outside of the United States.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they come from homes where smoking or pets were present. Unless otherwise stated, all items are sold in the same condition as when I obtained them.
