The rocks that this set of 4 small elephants are carved from are black and white marbled in color, but I don't know what type of rock it is. Each elephant stand about 1 inch tall. All are standing (or sitting) on their back legs and have their trunks raised.
I do not know if they are hand carved or machine made. I also do not know the age as I purchased the set at an estate sale.
Where their trunks curl up to touch their forehead, it created a small opening where a thin chain could be added to create a necklace if desired.
