Quilt Pattern with Actual Size Templates
From the introduction:
The Chinese Block, which resembles other traditional patterns such as Broken Dishes, was first published in The Kansas City Star, a weekly journal for farmers and their wives, in 1938. The maker of the peach and white beauty shown here knows this pattern as Pine Burr: By whatever name it is called, this pattern produces a delicate chain effect when the blocks are set on point.
About the series:
This is one of probably a hundred quilt patterns that I will be listing. These patterns were part of a monthly subscription series from the Oxmoor House Best Loved Quilts series of 1993. Each month, the recipient would receive a pack of 3 different patterns. It took several years to obtain the complete set.
This one is titled Chinese Block. It was designated in the Squares and Rectangles category. You will receive the brochure which tells the finished sizes, fabric requirements, the amount of pieces to cut, and instructions for piecing the quilt together. You will also receive actual templates that are the exact size needed to cut all the pieces of material. The templates are made of a hard, yet flexible plastic.
This pattern has never been used. If you receive templates that appear to have been cut out, that's because when first mailed out, templates for 2 or more quilts may have been imprinted on one 8 by 12 inch template sheet. To provide you with just the templates that you'll need for the quilt, I had to separate them from unrelated templates.
Buyer to pay USPS delivery charges of $3.50.
SHIPPING COST INFO:
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Sellers have already been notified that this January the cost of shipping will increase between 6% and 10%. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of over payment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
International shipping charges will also take a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from estate sales, garage sales, or various auctions. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
