This cigarette case measures roughly 3.75 inches square by just over 5/8ths of an inch deep. It is brownish orange in color. The design on the top and bottom of the case is alligator. The top has clear rhinestones and all rhinestones are present. The case is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, or dents. The inside is also in excellent condition and looks to have never been used. There are a few pencil point size dots, but I believe those are part of the paint.
The inside holds 10 cigarettes, but don’t bunch them up. If you try to put too many cigarettes inside, the lid will not close.
SPECIAL NOTE… This case fits the standard size cigarettes. I only have the longer 3 and 7/8th of an inch cigarettes to test the case with and they stick over about a half inch, so they are too long.
There are two elastic straps inside, one on each side of the case. Although you can only store cigarettes on one side, I assume both sides have a strap so you can decide which side you want the cigs on.
I obtained the case, along with a few others at an estate sale in Las Vegas Nevada. There was an info card on the table with the cases that said “Cigarette Cases, 1950s - 1960s". I don’t know how they came up with those dates unless the original owner told them. I tried to research these but could find nothing so am going by what the estate company said. I have no personal knowledge of the estimated time frame but these cases do look like they could be 50s to 60s.
The home was the most lavish and beautifully furnished home that I’ve ever stepped into. I was honestly worried about touching anything. Whomever the owner was, I’d say had to be either an entertainer or a very important casino employee. In fact, I asked the Estate Company employee whose house it was and was told that they were not allowed to share any information about the owner. There was very little there that I could afford. I did purchase a few of these vintage cigarette cases which I will be listing also along with a beautiful cross box, but that was it. I mostly just walked around in awe viewing the furnishings and very expensive fancy cars in the back carports.

SPECIAL NOTE about SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly and again in November for the holiday season (so 3 times each year) the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based on weight and zip code. Now, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. This years increases have added an additional 1.36 cents to up to $4.03 on packages. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year, unfortunately, I have to increase the shipping. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the changes when possible.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
