This belt buckle represents the Dover New Hampshire Police Association. I obtained it from an estate sale and it previously belonged to a retired career police officer.
The front of the buckle says “New Hampshire Police Association, 1940 1981.”. The center days “Dover” and has the city seal. Around the seal it says “Garrison City of New Hampshire.
The buckle is brass and measures 2.25 inches top to bottom by 3.25 inches side to side. The bale in the back (where the belt slips through) has a 1.5 inch opening, but remember to leave a little room for the belt to move. The back has about a dozen numbers but I don’t know if those numbers represent a part number or an employee number.
The buckle is in very good condition. I estimate the age to be 1980s as the owner retired in 1983.
