This baseball was signed by Johnnie B. Baker Jr., better known as Dusty Baker. Above the signature is the San Francisco Giants logo. After the signature it is dated '97 (1997).
Dusty Baker was a manager and former player. He had a 19 year career as an outfield player, mostly with the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers. He then had a 20 year career as a manager with the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, and Washington Nationals.
The ball has resided in a protective acrylic display case.
I purchased the ball at an estate sale. There was no COA included. I've spend several hours online comparing the signature on this baseball with many other signings and I am confident that it is authentic. In setting a price on this ball, I've adjusted the price (compared to other online listing) to reflect the lack of a COA.
It will be mailed from Nevada via USPS Priority Mail at the one pound rate. Mailing will include postal insurance. Buyer to pay $9.95 delivery charges.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year unfortunately, I have to if I want to stay in business. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the increases when possible.
