Fairgate curved rulers are essential tools for fashion designers, patternmakers, graphic artists, illustrators and other professions where there is the need to draw or cut smooth curved lines.
This particular ruler, part number 12-118 has a measuring length of 18 inches. Measurements are on both sides and are graduated in 1/8ths. It is made of a satin finished light weight aluminum that resists breaking. They are made to provide a life time of service.
The ruler is still in its cellophane wrapping. The wrapping has been opened on one end, but the ruler appears to have never been removed or used.
As mentioned above, there are numerous used for curved rulers. For instance, for a patternmaker they are used to produce lapels, elbows, skirts, trousers, arm holes, sleeve caps, necklines, collars, waist and crotch fits.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable.
