Hair pins have been used for centuries as cosmetic accessories. They are still very popular today.
I recently purchased several very nice hair and stick pins at an estate sale. The seller said they all belonged to her mother who was a very prim and proper lady. She wore these to church, social gatherings, celebrations, anywhere that she wanted to look classy. The seller said these would all be from 1950s to 1960s.
This listing is for the one hair pin in the title and that you see in my photo. The others will be in their own listings
This pin measures 4.75 inches long. The cone design metal at the top has a decrative design. The stem is silver in color and has a blunt tip to avoid getting poked. Hanging from the top is a tassel measuring 2.5 inches long consisting of black and red fancy beads. In the center of those beads is a silver flower. The piece is in excellent condition.

SPECIAL NOTE about SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly and again in November for the holiday season (so 3 times each year) the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based on weight and zip code. Now, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone.
