From the introduction:
Honeybee, first published in the Kansas City Star in 1929, demonstrates the interesting rounding effect that can be created by placing a curved piece near a straight one. Shown here in browns and blues, this quilt would be fun in the black and yellow colors of its namesake.
About the series:
This is one of probably a hundred quilt patterns that I will be listing. These patterns were part of a monthly subscription series. Each month, the recipient would receive a pack of 3 different patterns. It took a couple of years to obtain the complete set.
This one is titled Honeybee. It was designated in the Basic Squares and Rectangles category. You will receive the brochure which tells the finished sizes, fabric requirements, the amount of pieces to cut, and instructions for piecing the quilt together. You will also receive actual templates that are the exact size needed to cut all the pieces of material. The templates are made of a hard, yet flexible plastic.
This pattern has never been used. If you receive templates that appear to have been cut out, that's because when first mailed out, templates for 2 or more quilts may have been imprinted on one 8 by 12 inch template sheet. To provide you with just the templates that you'll need for the quilt, I had to separate them from unrelated templates.
Buyer to pay USPS delivery charges of $3.95.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items will safely fit into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year unfortunately, I have to if I want to stay in business. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the increases when possible.
INTERNATIONAL PURCHASED: Sorry, I do not ship to locations outside of the United States.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they come from homes where smoking or pets were present. Unless otherwise stated, all items are sold in the same condition as when I obtained them.
