I found this wonderful old Knott's Berry Farm pendant at an estate sale. I have not cleaned it. It will come to you with all the patina that was present when I purchased it.
The pendant is 1 inch round and maybe just a tad less thick than a nickel coin. The front shows a Conestoga wagon and says "Knott's Berry Farm Buena Park Calif." The back does have printing that I believe is probably the maker's info, but it's so worn that I can't begin to figure out what it says. When I obtained it, it had a chain attached so that it could be worn as a bracelet. The chain is not as old as the pendant. I will leave the chain attached and send it with the pendant to the new owner.
I'm guessing it could be from the 1940s to 1950s. I have several reasons for believing that's the time frame.
-On the front, it says "Buena Park Calif". In the early 1960s the designation for states changed to a 2 letter code. California would have been stated as "CA" if made after the early 1960s.
-In looking at hundreds of images on google, I did find pieces from Knott's that show a wagon. On all but 3 that wagon was a stagecoach and not a Conestoga wagon. Reading the descriptions on many of the items showing stage coaches, it appears they were from the early 1960s and later. Of the 3 that showed a Conestoga wagon, one stated 1940s and the other 2 stated 1950s.
-From the Wikipedia page regarding the history of Knott's, it tells about how Walter Knott and his wife started the berry stands in the 1920s, but as far as the beginning of any amusement type of addition it states "In 1940, Walter Knott began constructing a replica Ghost Town on the property, the beginning of the present-day theme park. The idea of an amusement park really picked up in the 1950s when he opened a "summer-long county fair".
So, for those reasons I'm guessing this pendant would be 1940s to some time in the 1950s. It certainly looks like it could be that old.

SHIPPING COST INFO:
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can safely fit into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
