From the research I did on these flip out mirrored lipstick holders, they were very popular in the 1950s. Unfortunately, I do not know what the date is on this one as I purchased it at an estate sale.
The lid (the top side of the mirror) has a floral design of leaves with faux pearls. There is also one aurora borealis stone.
The mirror measures 2 inches across. As you can see in my photo, there are a couple of age spots on the mirror, but they are so small I can't give you a measurement on them. Also, sorry about the reflections in the mirror.
The lipstick tube also measures 2 inches long. As for the two portions of the metal tube that holds the lipstick, it is very clean inside both. But upon further inspection of the longer portion and using a q-tip, I found there is a small amount of lipstick residue. The metal tube has a couple of scrapes, but on the underneath side where it rests against the mirror when closed.
