This jeweled Asian Elephant trinket box is titled “Lucky Zou” and was made by Artform Fine Collectibles for Objet d’Art, Work of Art. It was assigned collectible number 371.
The trinket box is 100% handmade of pewter and decorated by Austrian crystals and fine European lacquers. It measures roughly 2.5 inches tall by 3.25 inches from tail to tusks. Inside the box is a small compartment for storage. It’s a perfect size for earrings, any small piece of jewelry or collectibles and can even be used as a pill box. The box is hinged and stays securely closed by embedded magnets.
It is new, never used, and will come in its original box and Certificate of Authenticity (COA). There is also a small gift card. The label on the bottom of the box is dated 2010.

The origins of the lucky elephant charm are found in the Hindu religion of India where the God Ganesha, the elephant-headed son of Siva and Parvati is worshipped as an opener of the way and luck-god. It was in typical American fashion that only those elephant figurines with their trunks upraised were lucky, the rest were, simply put, "just elephants." Zou in Japanese means elephant. This beautiful 100% handmade trinket box is made by our expert artists to bring good luck.
