There are four reproduced old time circus posters advertising different big name circus companies.
The four posters advertise the following circuses:
Ringling Bros World's Greatest Shows. Army of 50 Clowns
The Barnum and Bailey Greatest Show on Earth
Adam Forepaugh & Sells Bros Big United Shows
Al G. Barnes Wild Animal Circus
I purchased the set at an estate sale and was told they have always been housed in a large specialty folder. This folder, with the posters inside have been rolled and kept in a mailing tube for years. As a result, the posters have a curl to them and will need to be "pressed" into a flat position. If framed, that will take care of the curling. The back of the specialty folder states that they are reproductions of the original posters from the years of 1894 to 1925. All 4 posters are dated along the bottom with the reproduced year of 1960, making them close to 60 years old.
All posters measure about the same dimensions of 19 by 13.5 inches. The posters were made with a brownish coloring around the outer edges to make them look more authentic.

The back of the specialty folder reads "The public is respectfully informed that these Circus Posters, eye feasts of beauty, are absolutely authentic reproductions, and they enamour all with unparalleled magnificence. The genius of Artists went into the designing of this cavalcade of advertising, all of which lavishly decorated board fences, walls and windows of tens of thousands of cities, towns, villages and hamlets all over the great U.S.A.. Circus posters are the most resplendent and spectacular form of advertising ever devised by man. This beautiful galaxy dates from 1894 (The Great Adam Forepaugh Shows) to 1925 (The Al G.Barnes Circus).
Buyer to pay $7.29 for USPS Insured First Class Mail Parcel shipping. The posters will be shipped in a tube and will be coming from Arizona.
SPECIAL SPECIAL NOTICE.... Beginning sometime in July 2025 the postal service will begin charging a surcharge on any tube or 'rolling" packages as their sorting machines can not handle any package that curves. This surcharge is estimated to be around $15 per affected package. If you are a buyer of posters or any items that fit in a tube or rounded package, you better make your purchases before July 2025.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year unfortunately, I have to if I want to stay in business. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the increases when possible.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items will safely fit into a single box or envelope. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
