I have several pieces of Rogers Bros 1847 Remembrance pattern silverplate tableware that I will be listing. I obtained them from an estate sale and was told the pieces are all that is left of a wedding gift that was received in 1952.
This listing is for one single fork. It is a child's fork.
Although the proper name is "1847 Rogers Bros", this silverware was not made in the year 1847. The first production of the Remembrance pattern was in 1948, and since the previous owner received it in 1952 it's a good chance that it is a first production piece (but I can't promise).
The fork is marked on the back with the company name, the pattern name, and is stamped IS. It measures 4.25 inches long. It is in extremely good condition. There are no bends or gouges. There may be very faint short scratches, but you'd expect that with it being close to 70 years old. You may want to polish it, but I don't think that's needed.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year unfortunately, I have to if I want to stay in business.
