This absolutely beautiful Hummingbird trinket box was designed, molded, sculpted, and cast in pewter by hand. Its approximate size is 3.25 inches tall, 3.75 inches side to side, 3.25 inches front to back. It is hinged.
It was then hand painted with enamels and kiln fired for 4 to 6 hours after each color was applied. Swarovski crystals were then carefullset by hand. You’ll see the crystals on the underside of the wings and the top of the head. The pewter has a semi-precious metal plating, including 24k gold and antique gold.
Inside is a small compartment for storage. Embedded magnets keep the box securely closed. The inside is marked Rucinni and is enameled also

It is in excellent condition. The colors are very vivid. There are no missing stones, no cracks or breakage. There is no original box.
The age is unknown to me. It is one piece of a collection of about 80 hinged trinket boxes that I purchased at an estate sale. There were all types of animals, old cars, plants, aircraft etc. I will be listing them all as time allows so be sure to check my other items
