This is a schematic diagram dated 1918 for the 7 passenger Cadillac Brougham sedan model 88-4. The paper is what I would call a thick ‘onion skin type of paper. It measures just about 28.5 by 17.5 inches. It is well over 100 years old and still looks to be in fairly great condition. See condition comments below.

“Originally used for a single horse drawn enclosed carriage for 2-4 people, the “Brougham” owes its name to British statesman, Henry Brougham. Cadillac first used the name in 1916 to designate an enclosed 5-7 passenger sedan body style. In the thirties, the name was given to a formal body style with an open chauffeur compartment and enclosed rear quarters, metal roof and often "razor-edged" styling. When Cadillac started offering Fleetwood bodies on some of its cars in 1925, the Brougham body style was Fleetwood bodied every year with the exception of 1926. After 1937, the Brougham name was not applied to any Cadillac for the remainder of the pre-World War II period.”
I obtained the diagram along with about 30 other various diagrams at an estate sale. The lady holding the sale said these belonged to her dad who worked for Willys-Overland Company of Toledo Ohio for 44 years in the records and library department. The company was founded in 1903 and the name was originally Overland Company but merged with Willys in 1926 to become Willys-Overland. The Willys-Overland Company is still in business, but now just sells replacement parts for Jeeps.
This diagram will look fabulous when framed and hanging on a wall. It’s perfect for an antique automobile restorer, an antique car club, an antique car collector, and many other situations.
CONDITION:
-Right side has about a 1.5 inch area of vertical light staining. (Could probably be covered by a frame).
-Lower right border has about a quarter inch tear. The torn piece is still attached and you can see this in one of my photos.
-Left side has about a 1/8th inch tear.
-Other age related items. Remember, this is over 100 years old.

A PERSONAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING COSTS ….
The shipping charges are set by the U.S. Postal Service.
Here’s the reason for the high charges….. Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become more profitable.
On top of the three increases, the postal service has now divided the nation in to 8 postal zones. Each time a package crosses into another zone, the price increases. I am in Arizona, so most all of my shipments pass through multiple zones.
It's a 10 year plan that the postal service started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases of shipping charges each year. I fear seeing what the costs will be at the end of the plan. …..
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box or envelope. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs.
