The distance scale is permanently etched on the lens. The distance scale reads up to 200 yards.
I've never used one of these and there are no instructions included. I checked online and found the following instructions: "Simply focus in on the flagstick, then align the bottom of the scale with the bottom of the pin (entire flagstick should be visible). Where the top of the flagstick intersects the scale marks a very precise estimate of your distance to the hole."
I purchased the scope at an estate sale. I'm sure it's been used before, but it's in excellent condition. There are no scratches, scrapes, or dents. Regarding the case, there are some stains and some type of residue on it. I don't know what to use to clean it. Whatever is on it did not go through to the scope.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year.
