This pin was part of a large lot of over 700 military DUI DI insignia pins purchased at an estate sale. The seller was an avid collector of military items and he specialized in the WWII and Vietnam era.

The card that it was attached to says "Recruiting Comm". The pin features a red, white, and blue banner that has a bronze Liberty Bell attached to the center. In the center of the bell it says "Provide The Strength". To each side of the bell there are pen quills and along the bottom there is a wreath of laurel or olive, The pin measures about 1-1/8th inch side to side and top to bottom. The back has a double clutch holder.

Doing the research, I found that this design was approved in January 1971 and although the pin is not marked with a date, it appears to have been around for a while so I'd guess it's probably one from that initial year of production, or close to it.

I have 4 of this exact pin. They are all exactly alike except for the writing on the back. Here's what each says:
G23 Made in U.S.A.
N.S. Meyer Inc. New York, Made in U.S.A.
S-21
Ira Green Inc. G23
If you have a preference as to which one you'd like, just let me know.

Although small, when wrapped it will exceed the postal limit of one quarter of an inch for normal envelope mailing. Delivery will be from California via USPS First Class Mail Package. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $3.99.

SHIPPING CHARGE INFO:
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.

Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.

International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
