These photos were obtained at an auction in either Concord, Pittsburg, or Antioch California. Sorry, but I've had them several years and don't remember which location they came from.
They were all in an envelope together, so I'm assuming they are from the same family. Only one photo is dated with 1935 and they all appear to be around the same time frame. Some have writing on the back, some do not. Of the ones with writing, except for one instance, only first names are listed. The exception is that two of the photos have the last name of either Reddehose, or Reddehase. From other items obtained at that same auction, the woman listed as Sophie was married to a man named Erling Wiig and I believe her last name was something like Bias.
Description of photos:
Not labeled, appears to be hospital staff as everyone seems to be wearing a uniform and the women are wearing what looks like nurses caps.
Photo on left has writing on back that says "Grobmutten Minaa, Sophie, Louise, Willie, Ludwig (Reddehose)"
Photo in center has writing on back that says "Luise, Ludwig & Willie (Reddehose)"
Photo on the right has no writing. It appears to show possible German military men.
-Bottom row, left to right:
Has studio info on back and hand writing that says October 1935 (in German)
Has studio info on front and back and hand writing that may say "Cande Mimma"
No writing but appears to be Sophie
Two ladies, no writing on back
Last photo has no writing on back but has studio info on front
And there is also a bookmark that is a cross and says "Easter Blessings".
Since I will be applying a 'Do Not Bend or Fold" sticker to the package, by postal rules it must be mailed as a parcel. Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Package from Nevada. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $5.99.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT POSSIBLE PARTIAL REFUND OF SHIPPING CHARGES:
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based solely on weight and zip code. This year the postal service went a bit overboard. Now, with this year's increase, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. This latest increase has added an additional .96 cents to up to $2.83 on packages, depending on their destination. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in several years, but that's getting harder with each increase.
To complicate things even further, Google will not promote or show items for sale unless they have a designated cost, or unless the seller uses calculated shipping. My web host is not equipped to figure calculated shipping, so I have to quote a shipping charge using the east coast as the final destination and then refund over payments. When I return the overage, I usually do so by including cash inside the package when it's shipped. My feedback page will show verification that I do return overpayments.
COMBINED SHIPPING INFORMATION
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box. However, my web host does not have the ability to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with any of that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
Due to claims that merchandise is not being received at various international countries (although Customs tracking verifies the delivery), I will no longer be able to process international orders unless payment is made with U.S. currency, including conversion fees. Orders will be processed after funds have cleared a U.S. bank. PAYPAL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
