Beautiful set of Swan salt cellars. I originally had three of these, but a friend asked for one. She uses it on her vanity with wings open and it holds her tube of lipstick. So you see, there are other uses for them other than the original purpose.
They are silver plate and frosted crystal glass. They measure about 3 inches top to bottom and beak to tail. That measurement is at the longest points. The wings spread open to reveal the 'bowl" portion.
As for the silver plate portion, I wasn't sure if they were actual silver, or silver plate, I did the magnet test and although the magnet did not stick, there is the very slightest resistance, so I'm guessing because of that, that they are silver plate. As for the crystal glass body, while researching these I did see a couple others and they all stated the glass to be crystal, so I'm going with what they all said.
There are no markings. I obtained them at an estate sale and there was no one to ask about a possible date that they were made.
I dusted them off, but I did not polish them. They have a great patina and I want to leave that for the new owner to see.

Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
