I purchased this extraordinary piece at an estate sale recently. The info card that was displayed with it stated a date of early to mid 1900s. It stated the metal to be cast iron. I did find a couple of these online with one saying 1920s-1930s, and one saying 1930s. I’m going by the info found on the info card and found online because I can find no markings on the one I have. I just know that it looks to be very old.
The one that I am offering has a very rustic look with great patina. I have not soaked or polished it. You will receive it just as I did.
It measures 9.5 inches long.
The claw portion could be representative of a chicken or bird of some type.
The feather portion has fine feather texturing and natural details.
