The Wells Fargo Legendary plush horses are modeled after actual work horses used many decades ago. I recently purchased a collection of these plush horses at an estate sale.
This is Dandy. Dandy joined Wells Fargo in October 1895, at the express office in Auburn, California. He was one of the most valuable and expensive horses in town. The Wells Fargo agent in Auburn paid $18 to get him-top dollar in those days!
He is wearing a red and black bandana around his neck that has the Wells Fargo stagecoach logo that says "Since 1852 Wells Fargo". He comes with his paper tag that tells his story and he has his tush tag that states the date of 2003 (although he was not released until 2004).
Dandy measures about 16 inches nose to tail and stands about 13 inches ear to foot. He is pre-owned but has no rips or tears.
